Definition of Zero - Product Property

  • Zero - Product Property states that if the product of two factors is zero, then at least one of the factors must be zero.

             

Examples of Zero - Product Property

  • If xy = 0, then x = 0 or y = 0.

(x + 5)(x – 1) = 0

Step 4: x = - 5 or x = 1
